In answer to a call for collaboration, content developers from around the world teamed up to build a series of art salons or offer their artwork, the result was Minerva – the first art gallery in JanusVR
This digital visual space hosts a variety of exhibitions that range from new perspectives on works of the masters, to three-dimensional sculpture and glitch art. The artists featured for the opening exhibition are the master painters Jheronimus Bosch, Hubert and Jan van Eyck, photographers Nukemarine (Japan) and Nick Mitchell (China) and digital artists Alusion (US) and Tyler NcCorcuck (Canada).
Minerva is a space where people interact with the artwork as well as with each other, with or without Oculus Rift. Enjoy viewing x-radiographs of the Ghent Altarpiece, 3D photographs, walking under an Eames chair or stepping into a sphere to be enveloped by a dreamscape. You don’t need to imagine it, you can visit the space to experience it yourself!
