Scienverse today announced the launch of their Kickstarter campaign to raise €100,000 to build a VR universe using Unreal Engine 4. The Bulgarian based virtual reality company is aiming to provide a platform for third-party virtual reality applications, combined with a next generation social network.
Co-founder of Scienverse, Boris Samardzhiev said today ‘We at Scienverse are committed to make the variety of VR experiences accessible to everybody. So far the VR was focused on games, which is only one side of the coin. However, we want to provide the full picture by merging technology and software in a platform compatible with all major Operating Systems such as Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS and VR devices like Oculus Rift, OSVR, HTC Vive, FOVE and much more. Therefore, by providing wide compatibility across multiple devices, we believe that Scienverse will greatly increase the development of the emerging Virtual Reality market.’
‘Scienverse enables you to play, learn, train, travel, or do business in Virtual Reality. It creates space for deployment of VR apps, and thus expands the potential of VR. Each portal room in the platform is your gate to a different application. Everything created by the VR developers will be readily available on the platform and easily accessed by all our users. The number of rooms depends on the number of apps deployed in Scienverse.’
The Kickstarter campaign is due to run until the 24th of November, with pledges starting at only €5.
