Oculus Announces 2016 Release of Rock Band VR

Oculus have teamed up with Harmonix to develop a new game Rock Band VR, a new virtual reality Rock Band experience exclusively for the Oculus Rift, which is currently in production and slated for a Holiday 2016 release

Harmonix have already announced one virtual reality project: Harmonix Music VR, a music visualization experience for Sony’s PlayStation VR

Oculus today released a two-minute teaser during The Game Awards in Los Angeles, and during his time on stage, 23-year-old Oculus founder and Rift inventor Luckey Palmer  said that the two teams worked on this for quite a while, and that there will be this and other titles available at Rift’s launch.

While onstage at the event today, Palmer also announced Dragon Force’s epic speedmetal track “Through the Fire and Flames” is going to be featured in the upcoming virtual reality title.
