New vorpX Update Lets You Play Fallout 4 In Virtual Reality

vorpX, the 3D drivers that let you play your favourite games in virtual reality on the Oculus Rift DK1 and DK2, has received an update that allows support for the newly released Fallout 4.

Update 0.9.1 adds both a Z3D profile as well as optimised defaults for the much anticipated Bethesda title. If you already own VorpX you should get an automatic update, but if you don’t own vorpX head to our VorpX page to buy it now.

Bugfixes:

– Oculus Rift DK1 incompatibility warning added
– Direct mode mirror window was rendered too bright
– Battlefield 4 and other FrostBite engine games only showed black flicker in-game on Win8+
– Elder Scrolls Online (and possibly other games with an unusual device init) did not hook anymore
– Right screen was rendered black in virtual cinema if direct to hmd was disabled (DX9/10/11 Z3D)
– Disabling head tracking didn’t work as intended in direct mode (Oculus Rift)
– Evolve crashed after a few seconds (may also have affected other D3D11 games)
